FOOL MOON was born in 1995 on Maui's north shore. During his first years FOOL MOON spent a lot of time in the water sharing the waves with his friends Lawiliwili-nukunuku-'oi-'oi, Khikihi and Lau'ipala. He learned to fly high and bottom turn with the flying fishes. When exhausted after a full day off shore, stoked with hollow sections and timeless drops, he used to sleep on the slops of Mount Haleakala. The moonbow above him rocking his peaceful nights. Therefore FOOL MOON is an ocean brand, bred under the sun and inspired by the tropical milkyway. FOOL MOON is also a "seven ocean refugee", a nomad brand opened to the world,cruising from one island to the other: Kauai, Tahiti, Cocos, Fiji, Tonga, Aruba, Aldabra, Juan de Nova, Mauritius, ... the trip started on Maui, the journey will never end. The first collection was dreamed and design in a little shack down by the beach. Tide after tide, hurricane after tropical depression, the shack never mooved and is for ever the shelter of the future creations...
